On The Job Training
As part of the curriculum second year B.Sc Electronics and Computer Maintenance students are given 30 hours of ‘ On the job training ‘. This time we had training on Embedded Systems. It was organized by professionals from Grey Technolabs, Edappally. The syllabus included electronic hardware overview, product design using analog and digital circuits, Introduction to Embedded systems, architecture, embedded C, embedded system project integration and testing with the help of MPLAB IDE, PCB design, PCB fabrication, security systems and networking. All 34 students were divided into different groups and they were given hands on training in making Burglar alarm using PIR, alcohol detector, automated street light, Pulse detection system, water level controller and energy saver system. Different groups made projects using PIC 16 series
